Exploring Professional Ethics Roles and Boundaries 2 CE Online Course

Description

This course is approved for FL Massage Board and all other state boards with Ethics requirements. This course will give an overview of how to form an ethical framework in which to make ethical decisions. This framework also includes business and legal regulations, standards of practice, codes of conduct, scopes of practice, and professional behaviors which are all methods used to set rules in providing cooperative professional relationships. This course will include the overview how ethics should be incorporated if, and when research studies are to be performed.

As a massage therapist, much of the massage work performed takes place in a one-on-one setting. A best practice professional scenario would be for the client to be fully informed and aware of all that will take place during and after a massage session. Health care provider responsibilities include providing correct information for the patient to understand the activities and undertakings that will occur during the therapy session. This also includes the benefits they will receive from that therapy session. An ethical standard of practice must include an internal gauge that establishes and complies with any/all government controls, in addition to a personal ethics standard.
